ABSTRACT

The Big Five personality traits set the stage on which grudges, vengeance, and forgiveness are acted out. A person or the person's therapist can do little to affect the Big Five; those traits are high in genetic heritability. But specific transgression-related dispositions are better targets for modification if a person wishes to change.
