ABSTRACT
Little was born in Parmele, North Carolina. A 1924 graduate of Higgs Roanoke Seminary, she also attended North Carolina State Normal School (now Elizabeth City State University). After graduation, she began teaching in her home state, and two years later she married her childhood sweetheart, Weston W. Little, Sr. They moved to Washington, D.C., in 1929 and later became parents of five children.
