British actor Adrian Lester has acted extensively on stage, including the title roles in

, directed by Nicholas Hytner at the National Theatre, and
Hamlet
, in the touring production directed by Peter Brook; and as Rosalind in the Cheek by Jowl production of
As You Like It
. His film roles include Henry Burton in Mike Nichols’

. At the time of this interview in the summer of 2004, he was preparing to shoot the second six-part installment of a BBC television series called
Hustle
