ABSTRACT
Hi. My name is Peter. I'm a junior at a highly competitive public school of around 6,000 students, Eastern State University. Most students at ESU live on campus in the residence halls; we are known for having a really strong campus community. My advice to you in this letter is not so much the result ofa particular difficult situation, it's more a compilation of my reflections on keeping your relationships with your residents in balance. Sometimes it is tempting to do too much for them, or to get closer to them than would be best for your RA role. This is a bit of my experience for you to take or leave as you will.
