ABSTRACT

SPIRITUAL PRACTICE IS A VERY FLUID TERM that refers to a large varietyof activities in relationship to Christian spirituality. It can mean anything from the prayers said before meals, to the rites and rituals celebrated in places of worship, to the tending of the needs of the poor in local soup kitchens or the homeless on streets. It may also refer to such mundane activities as preparing food – for some people, “growing, cooking and eating food” is a spiritual practice.1 Art (such as painting, firing clay, music, and dancing) could be considered one as well.2
