ABSTRACT

Kingsley Primary is a co-educational community school for children aged three to eleven. It is a relatively large primary school of three-form entry, with a single nursery class. When we visited there were approximately 650 children on roll. Separate infants and junior schools were established on a shared site in the 1950s, but in 1998 they were amalgamated into one school. Many of the original buildings remain in use although more recently a large-scale building improvement, budgeted at about £1.5 million, has started.
