ABSTRACT
TawRCS has not until now received any dedicated study. In fact, commentaries on the Tadhkira in general have not received much attention from scholars.3 Therefore, I will spend half of this chapter surveying the scientific material from TawRCS that I believe is relevant for my argument about how theoretical astronomy could be religiously meaningful. A fuller, technical account of this information is in Appendix C.
