ABSTRACT
When I left to go to Mercury… he [Leonard Chess] said, “Go and I'll see you in three years,” which was my term with Mercury. Since I have been with Mercury, things haven't been going too well… I have kept in constant touch with Chess Records. I like little companies because there's a warmer relationship between the artist and the executive.
