Introduction Every counselor knows it. ere is no one best way to counsel addicted families. Each family presents with unique needs, characteristics, desires, and external and internal stressors that impact treatment. Eective family addictions counselors further understand that if treatment is to be eective, religious, cultural, ethnic, and gender domains must be adequately investigated and respectfully addressed within ways acceptable to individual family members and the family system itself.
