Hip and Pelvis Problems

Technique This is usually a sitting problem, so you may want to evaluate your throne or seat. If they are too hard or irritating to sit in, they will irritate the buttock muscles. Marching may also irritate the area. If you are a marimba player, check your playing posture. Too much bending at the waist fatigues these muscles because they have to work to keep the body in an off-balanced position. Proper lifting techniques will also help prevent this injury (see Section A.3).
