Midback and Chest Problems

Doing too much too soon or too often, or both. Overuse or improper use of the midback; for example, large increase (10 percent or more) in sitting at the drum set, change in drum setup, marching, drum harnesses, improper walking form, or inefficient technique on mallet or timpani instruments. Your throne may be causing the problem, especially if it is wobbly or hard. A bad chair or mattress may also be the cause.
