ABSTRACT

In this chapter I will introduce the reader to some recent neuroscience research as it seems relevant to the practice of psychodrama. The 1990s were the ‘Decade of the Brain’ and neuroscience has been expanding quickly in terms of hard, peer-reviewed science dedicated to understanding the brain and its relationship to cognition, affect, addictions, behaviors and therapies. We are living at a time in which psychology is becoming more open to incorporating neurological understanding.
