ABSTRACT

Jungian psychodrama is an approach to psychodrama that is articulated in reference to the analytical theory of Carl Jung (Gasseau 1992; Scategni 1994). The notion of a Jungian approach to psychodrama combines the important innovations of J. L. Moreno (for example, role reversal, doubling and the mirror technique) with Jung's approach to depth psychology on dreams, collective unconsciousness, archetypal medicine, the tendency towards individuation and the concept of net and matrix (Foulkes 1964: Jung 1964). In this chapter we explain and explore some of our central ideas about the application of Jungian psychodrama.
