ABSTRACT
Taking dreaming as the primary paradigm of embodied imagination, I have de®ned embodied images as surrounding, imagined, quasi-physical environments and presences in and among which we ®nd ourselves, presenting themselves as self-evidently real, accompanied by basic physiological processes.
