ABSTRACT

No human being knows everything. But isn’t it possible in principle that someone should know all truths, isn’t it at least logically possible a deity should be omniscient?

However, for this to be possible there would surely have to be a set of all truths. Patrick Grim uses Cantor’s theorem, that the power set of a set S is always larger than S, to show that there cannot be – see Cantor’s Paradox.
