ABSTRACT
This chapter focuses on a case study of the US-and UK-led war against the Saddam Hussein regime of Iraq to address two aims. The chapter first aims to explain how the hegemonic discourse was integrated into the official narrative of the Iraq War asserted by the Bush Administrations. The second aim seeks to detail the patterns in how the official narrative produced a contingent and politicized understanding of the Iraq War.
