ABSTRACT
As a TA you will be working closely with children, naturally, as well as with other adults. While many millions of words, several hundred books (if not more!) and countless articles have been written about how people can best work with children, bringing out the best in them and helping them to reach their potential, in my opinion, this all boils down to one word: relationships. The quality and resilience of the relationships that you build with the children you work with will help them to grow in their work and themselves as people. Developing effective working relationships is, therefore, crucial to the job.
