The Internet and new technologies in Japan

This chapter gives an overview of the use of new technologies in Japan in the years between 2000 and 2005, including its main features, with some background regarding the developments in the 1990s. The use of new technologies and the status of their permeation were constantly changing over this period as these technologies developed.
