ABSTRACT
The bargaining process that unfolded in Oslo between January and September 1993 provides the opportunity to assess in which way elements that rational choice and constructivist negotiation analyses deem important played out. What are the elements of this process that the two approaches can explain, and how can they explain the outcome of the Oslo talks?
