Some learners will be able to tackle all the activities during the 20-minute segment of The Literacy Hour used ‘for group or independent work’, whereas others may work just on section A, or A and B. The keywords and strategies can be revised during the plenary session. Pupils can be asked to identify their ‘best’ strategy for remembering. Further examples can be noted during shared and guided text activities and added to individual’s personal ‘Spellofax’.
