ABSTRACT
In Chapters 2, 4, and 6, we presented some economic information on Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and the Big Five ASEAN countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand). In those chapters, we also provided their international trade and investment statistics and discussed their trade and investment relations with the United States. This last chapter will provide cross-national comparisons in the following areas:
● major economic indicators relevant to M&A activity. These include GDP growth, investment, and expansion of trade in Asia;
General conclusions will be provided toward the end of the chapter.
