ABSTRACT
Following the major period of these UFO sightings, a spate of alien contacts began to occur. Unlike the distant scientist, the aliens seek interaction with the public, often desiring to amalgamate their technology with domestic lives, and their future with ancient earthly practices. Even though they speak an untranslatable language, they respond to gestures and sign back to the humans, or communicate by mental telepathy-a language completely abstract, with no material signs or sounds, but which requires no special training to understand. Some aliens are evil. They plan to usurp privileges, inseminate virgins with their own species, harvest humans for food, or harvest fetuses and genes for the propagation of their own, dark or dying civilizations. Whatever their goal, they perform together with the layperson, who is somehow needed in their laboratories.
