ABSTRACT

Lack of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), litigation, sharing and reusing documents, contracts, data standards and trust are identified as some of the major barriers for the implementation of nD modelling (Lee et al., 2005). While it is certainly true that ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) is an essential enabling factor for an nD model, the legal issues associated to the use of ICT in nD modelling will naturally appear to be an aspect to be addressed.
