ABSTRACT
After its sudden epiphanic emergence, Minoan culture repeatedly managed to renew itself in spite of suffering a series of cataclysmic devastations. Eventually, after a continuous existence lasting for about half a millennia, it evidently succumbed to Mycenean invaders. However, this did not happen before Mycenean culture itself was not fertilised by Minoan grace. This Mycenean culture was already a singular unity of a female (Minoan) and male (Achaean) components; re-born again, and in full blossoming, in the centre of classical Greek culture, Athens.
