ABSTRACT
Two important findings were identified in the research with teachers, which, thanks to their honesty, have had an impact on developing leadership in young people. The first was that teachers everywhere tended to choose confident children to practise their leadership potential and that the last children they would put forward were those who lacked confidence and were shy.
