ABSTRACT
A three-year-old child came home from her first visit to the cinema, where she had seen the Disney version of Peter Pan. She was used to cartoons on TV, but the sheer scale of the cinema experience had sent her into a fizzing excitement. Asked whether she had enjoyed it, she nodded vigorously. Asked to say what happened in the film, she replied, ‘There was this man and the crocodile ate him!’
