ABSTRACT
This topic area on MED2 is always popular with candidates, not least because it offers the opportunity to explore a wide range of film and broadcast fiction texts. The danger, however, that you must try to avoid is that it will encourage you simply to find a few texts that you have particularly enjoyed and just go into the exam to tell the examiner all about them. This is not a good idea! By all means go find texts that you enjoy, but then you must subject them to critical scrutiny. You should do this by linking your study of the texts closely to the subject content listed in the specification and needless to say the key concepts.
