ABSTRACT
The previous chapters in this book can be viewed as building a foundation for the material to be presented in this chapter. This chapter focuses on the setup, operation, and utilization of four vendors’ products that will provide readers with a background in the settings of different parameters that can be used to provide equipment interoperability. Equipment vendors whose products we examine include Agere Systems, Cisco Systems, Netgear, and SMC Networks. As we soon note, the type of product to be installed has a significant effect on the ease of installation.
