ABSTRACT
The Conditions of Contract are often referred to as “General Conditions of Contract”. This description refers to their applicability to a large number of contracts of the type for which the General Conditions were drafted, rather than to dealing with the general aspects of the Contract. It is rare for Conditions of Contract to be drafted specifically for a particular contract; usually a standard or semi-standard document is modified by amendments and additions drafted to suit the particular needs.
