Subjects and Schooling: Four School Case Studies

School histories provide vital evidence of the patterning of curriculum within the school and in this chapter we look briefly at four case studies of schools. Then, in the following chapter, we shall look at curriculum differentiation as it is expressed through different ‘traditions’ within school subjects.
