ABSTRACT
Museum ethics deals with the interrelationship of people and the museum as a “nonprofit making, permanent institution in the service of society and of its development, and open to the public which acquires, conserves, researches, communicates and exhibits, for purposes of study, education and enjoyment, material evidence of people and their environment” (ICOM 1990:3). People provide the service as museum workers and receive the service as visitors. The museum is the central element.
