ABSTRACT
A scientific and research institute that was created by the Ministry of Reconstruction as the Research Institute for Building. In 1949 reorganized as the Building Research Institute under the Ministry of Building and Building Materials Industry Main fields of work The Institute carries out a scientific and research activity: fundamental and applied research concerning the standardization and application of new types of materials and structures, approval of new building materials, problems of physics and acoustics in buildings, protection of buildings against corrosion and fire, improvement of research methods.
