ABSTRACT

The convention in this genre of work is to have a methodological appendix in which one reflects on the work one has done. Instead of that, I have tried to start out with that perspective even from the beginning, in talking about this work as a work of composition and by working back and forth, and sifting out from within the analytic description. In a sense, the first chapter constitutes the ‘traditional’ methodological appendix. My point is that the reflection is a somewhat distanced moment, but is not an addendum to the work itself, but an integral component in its creation.
