ABSTRACT
In the course of this chapter it will emerge that a highly significant feature of the human cerebrum is its asymmetry, and furthermore that the asymmetries obtain for lobules that are intimately related to the conscious self. It is therefore proposed first to give an account of some cerebral asymmetries that developed in hominid evolution.
