ABSTRACT

INTRODUCTION TO PROCESSING The term ‘processing’ is generally used in psychodrama to refer to the phase when the group, led by the director, discuss in some detail the steps that occurred during the psychodrama. Traditionally it takes place some time after the psychodrama has ended. Like many terms used in psychodrama it has come to have its own definition, depending on who is using it and the context in which it is used. Goldman and Morrison use the term to refer to:

(a) processing the dynamics that take place between a protagonist and an other as they interrelate during the enactment session of a psychodrama.
