ABSTRACT
Decca Navigator is a hyperbolic navigation system providing a position-fixing capability adequate for coastal navigation. The system is organized in chains, each comprising a master and usually three slave stations, providing a coverage of up to at least 240 nautical miles from the master station. The first Decca chain became operational in 1946 and since that time the system has grown to almost fifty operational chains throughout the world.
