ABSTRACT

In contrast to Part 3, this part contains most of the papers published on process modelling for this domain which reflects the difficulty of the task which largely depends on finding an aspect of the production process that is common to all contractors. The most recent work relies heavily on the stochastic simulation of the production process by the use of network planning models in combination with knowledge modelling of the planning process. This is perhaps the newest of all fields due to its dependence on the linking of latest developments in information technology for practical applications.
