The GDP in Malaysia expanded in real terms by 8.2% in 1996 as compared to 9.5% in 1995 and is expected to moderate to 8% in 1997. ¹ The GDP in 1996 amounted to RM 130,628 million of which the construction sector contributed 4.7%.
