ABSTRACT
Repeat the exercise only this time ‘A’ sings the improvised nonsense to the music of an aria known to ‘A’ but not necessarily known to ‘B’. ‘B’ must translate the sense and energy behind ‘A’s aria. ‘A’ must consciously break the aria up into component parts as in the first version of the exercise so that ‘B’ has manageable chunks to translate.
