ABSTRACT

In this chapter we will expand upon our theoretical discussion in order to enlarge our intellectual and theoretical model of organizations and change. The four frames of reference discussed in previous chapters will now be subsumed within a discussion of sociological paradigms. Each of the frames of reference discussed so far will be located within the particular theoretical paradigm which it inhabits. From this initial discussion we will proceed, in the chapter that follows this, to analyse the prospects for the development of new paradigms of/for change.
