ABSTRACT

We live within landscapes-landscapes which surround us and landscapes which mark our interior worlds of consciousness and unconsciousness-which integrate to form the ways we interact with those around us. Yet much of modern life mitigates against a full awareness of these landscapes. The constant consumption of information, experiences, and products leaves little space for reflection. Experience builds upon experience, at times in a seemingly haphazard way. In the rush it is easy to remain unaware of our landscapes within and against which we live, work, and learn.
