ABSTRACT

There once was a society containing two groups, the sraloks and the masses. The sraloks (a.k.a., the knowledgeable ones) claimed they could successfully discover the inner most experiences of outsiders. Further, the knowledge they uncovered, they argued, was complete in all important ways. They were so sure of their skills in this matter that they spread the idea far and wide of the benefits of these abilities for the good of society. When asked by the masses how they achieved such a remarkable feat, the sraloks responded by saying that they did so with the aid of a special wand. Not anyone, they hurriedly warned, could employ the wand effectively and properly, for its use required special training and special procedures must be followed. But when used appropriately, the wand allowed one to become free of personal bias and overcome one's own limited experience when examining others.
