ABSTRACT
As already discussed in chapter 5, it is almost universally accepted that Nehemiah 8 is a portion of the Ezra tradition. Apart from that, much of the content of the book of Nehemiah comes from the so-called ‘Nehemiah memorial’ or ‘memoir’ or from a diversity of sources.
