ABSTRACT
How do we become who we are? This question lies at the base of all the human sciences. And for all the vast literature that exists on the subject, it is a question we have hardly begun to answer. Moreover, how exactly, we might address it is an epistemological issue, that is to say, it concerns the theory of the method or grounds of knowledge.
