Managing identification and assessment

The assessment procedures used for identifying and meeting SEN must be integrated within your school's assessment policy. Most teachers now accept that assessment is part of the normal teaching process and it should be clear from earlier chapters that the identification and assessment of SEN is part of the intervention process (and an integrated part of writing and reviewing IEPs).
