ABSTRACT
We are at the start of a revolution in primary education based on the growing recognition that parents are a child’s first educator and families provide the foundation phase for learning. As in any unplanned transition, the circumstances are confusing, the goal unclear and the process often painful. This chapter aims to sketch a vision of where we are going and a path of how to get there. When we do, primary education could be utterly transformed.
