ABSTRACT
In the context of cultural diversity, an obvious educational concern is the question not only of how to cultivate tolerance for views, lifestyles and beliefs different from one’s own, but also the question of how to enable a better understanding of such views. The latter question takes us beyond the matter of coexistence and tolerance, to the matter of how we may take the further step of creating dialogue with and understanding the other.
