ABSTRACT
For the purpose of this chapter cultural pluralism implies both unity and diversity: the one nation existing in multicultural forms or parts. The emphasis here is not on how society is divided into ethnic, social, or religious groupings, but on pluralism of value systems distinguishable from mere diversity in customs, languages, foods, dress, etc.
