ABSTRACT

This section of the book is designed to contribute to our understanding of what self-study in teacher education is and what role it can and does play in the education of teachers by providing more examples of self-study work. The previous sub-section included samples of individual self-study; this sub-section contains samples of collaborative self-study. Collaborative research is not uncommon in the field of education. Indeed, much research, even if it is written by a single individual, involves more than one researcher, particularly in the data collection and analysis phases. However, there are distinct differences between typical collaborative research and collaborative self-study, as the three samples in this section will demonstrate.
