ABSTRACT
This is Olivetan's version of Genesis, Chapter 1, verses 3-8. The punctuation of the original has been retained to illustrate how this differs from modern usage; note especially the use of oblique slashes or virgulae which, through the modification of first their appearance - they came to resemble a right-hand bracket - and then their position in relation to the surrounding letters, became the commas of today.
